Last updated: October 5, 2026

1. Overview

Learnacity is an English vocabulary learning platform that provides vocabulary lessons, quizzes, games, worksheets and pronunciation resources. We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to operate, secure and improve the service.

2. Information We Collect

Learnacity may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, device information, request timestamps and security-related information. This information may be used to operate the service, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse and protect the platform.

Learnacity does not require users to create an account for the current core learning experience.

3. Learning Activity and Local Storage

Some Learnacity features may store limited information in your browser, such as previously displayed vocabulary words or interface preferences. This information may remain on your device and is not necessarily associated with a Learnacity account.

4. YouGlish and YouTube

Learnacity may use the YouGlish widget to provide pronunciation examples from real-world video clips. YouGlish uses YouTube API Services and YouTube content.

When the YouGlish widget or an embedded YouTube player is used, YouGlish and/or YouTube may process technical information and other information associated with the operation of their services. The handling of such information is governed by the applicable policies of those third-party services.

For more information, please review the Google Privacy Policy and YouGlish Privacy Policy and Terms.

5. Cookies and Device Storage

Learnacity and third-party services used by Learnacity may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies. Where applicable law requires notice or consent before storing or accessing information on your device, Learnacity will provide the appropriate notice and obtain consent where required.

Third-party services may have their own cookie and privacy practices. You should review their policies for details.

6. Security and Abuse Prevention

We may process technical and request information to protect Learnacity from excessive automated requests, scraping, abuse, unauthorized access and other security threats.

7. Third-Party Services

Learnacity may rely on third-party services for hosting, infrastructure, content delivery, pronunciation resources, analytics or other functionality. Those services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

8. Data Retention

Technical and security information is generally retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, enforce usage limits, investigate abuse, maintain security and comply with applicable legal requirements.

Usage events and ordinary anonymous IP security records retained in Learnacity's application systems are generally deleted after 90 days. Security records associated with an active permanent security block may be retained beyond this period for security and abuse-prevention purposes, subject to periodic review.

9. International Data Transfers

Learnacity may use service providers and infrastructure located in countries other than the country in which you live. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is handled in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements and appropriate safeguards.

10. Cloudflare and Third-Party Retention

The retention periods described in this policy apply to information retained in Learnacity's own application systems. Third-party infrastructure and service providers, including Cloudflare, may independently process or retain information according to their own policies, configurations, security practices and applicable legal requirements.

Learnacity does not represent that every copy of technical, security or network information held by a third-party provider is deleted on the same schedule as information in Learnacity's application database.

11. Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply to Learnacity, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or other rights provided by applicable law.

Security, fraud-prevention, legal, and other applicable exceptions may limit these rights in certain circumstances. For example, we may need to retain information necessary to maintain an active security block or investigate abuse.

You may contact us using the privacy contact information provided below to make a privacy request or ask questions about how your information is handled.

12. Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and whether the relevant law applies to Learnacity, you may have additional rights relating to your personal information. These may include rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Learnacity will handle applicable privacy requests in accordance with the requirements that apply to the particular request and jurisdiction. We may need to verify a request before completing it, and applicable legal, security and fraud-prevention exceptions may limit or delay a request.

13. Children's Privacy

Learnacity is intended to provide general English-learning functionality. We do not knowingly request personal information from children where applicable law prohibits us from collecting it without the required consent or authorization.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Learnacity in circumstances where it should not have been collected, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

14. Security

Learnacity uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the service and information processed through it. These measures include access controls, rate limits, abuse detection, security monitoring and blocking mechanisms where appropriate.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Security controls may result in automated requests being limited, denied or blocked when activity appears abusive or otherwise violates applicable access restrictions.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
